Mega Diabetes and Eye Check-up Camp at Sujana Muvada Village by Shivam Charitable Trust
Shivam Charitable Trust successfully organized a free rural healthcare camp in Sujana Muvada village in November 2025 for people who have limited access to medical facilities. The camp included free diabetes check-up, blood pressure testing, eye examination, doctor consultation, free medicines, spectacles distribution, and cataract surgery support services.
More than 300 villagers actively participated in this healthcare awareness initiative. The main objective of the camp was to spread awareness about diabetes prevention, eye diseases, preventive healthcare, and the importance of regular medical check-ups in rural communities.
Awareness and Camp Preparation Activities
A few days before the Mega Health Camp Sujana Muvada, YASHPALSINH MAHIDA and Devang Kohad visited the village to conduct awareness meetings and promotional activities. They placed banners in the village and informed local residents about the upcoming free health camp.
Their efforts helped increase awareness among villagers and encouraged hundreds of people to participate in the healthcare camp.
Dedicated Team Journey and Camp Arrangements
On the day of the camp, the Shivam Charitable Trust team started their journey early in the morning at 7:00 AM because Sujana Muvada village was located approximately 50 KM away.
The dedicated healthcare team included Sonia Khanna (CEO of Shivam Charitable Trust), Yashpalsinh Mahida, Devang Kohad, Dr. Riddhi, Divyaben, Simaben, Vijaybhai, Gitaben, and Kanubhai.
The team travelled with the Shivam Charitable Trust ambulance and reached Sujana Muvada Primary School where all arrangements for the camp were made. Tables, chairs, registration counters, eye check-up stations, diabetes testing setup, doctor consultation areas, and medicine distribution counters were organized properly before the camp started.
Healthcare Services Provided During the Camp
The rural healthcare camp was conducted from 10 AM to 5 PM. and followed a systematic healthcare process for all villagers.
First, villagers completed registration procedures. After registration, eye examinations were conducted followed by diabetes RBS tests and BP check-ups. Villagers then consulted doctors for medical guidance and received free medicines and spectacles according to their health conditions.
The healthcare camp created a positive impact in the village and helped many people identify health problems at an early stage.
Free Cataract Surgery Support
Before surgery, patients were provided with tea, breakfast, medical support, and proper eye examinations. Free cataract operations were successfully conducted for around 20 villagers. The trust also arranged meals, post-surgery care, and safe transportation back to their village.
This noble initiative helped economically weaker villagers receive quality eye treatment completely free of cost and improved their quality of life.
