Started in 2014 | Ongoing

At Shivam Charitable Trust, we believe education is not just a right—it is the foundation of dignity, opportunity, and nation-building. With this belief, we launched our Children Education Project in 2014, with one simple mission: “No child should be left behind because of poverty.”

Adoption of Harij Village, Patan

In 2016, the Trust adopted Harij Village in Patan, Gujarat, where nearly 300–400 underprivileged and tribal children lacked access to proper books, stationery, and guidance. Since then, Shivam Charitable Trust has become a backbone of education for the village, ensuring that every student receives notebooks, school bags, uniforms, and compass boxes every year.

This adoption is not symbolic—it is an everyday commitment to stand beside these children until they are strong enough to stand on their own.

Books that Build Futures

To date, we have donated more than 50,000 books and stationery kits to schools across rural Gujarat. Each book is more than paper—it is a door to possibility. From ABCs to advanced math, from drawing colors to science diagrams, our mission has been to place learning tools directly into the hands of children who need them most.

Empowering Girls, Changing Generations

In many villages, sending girls to school is still considered secondary. Through our consistent outreach, donations, and awareness programs, we have encouraged hundreds of girls to attend school in Harij and surrounding villages. Every school kit we provide is a silent message to families: “Your daughter’s education matters.”

Not Just Books – Complete Support

Education is not just about notebooks. Children need bags, pens, compass sets, and uniforms to truly participate in school. Over the years:

  • 15,000+ school bags distributed.
  • 10,000+ compass boxes and uniforms donated.
  • Regular distribution drives every academic year, ensuring no child begins school empty-handed.

Impact in Numbers (2014–2025)

  • 50,000+ books and notebooks donated.
  • 300–400 children from Harij Village adopted.
  • 15,000+ school bags distributed.
  • 10,000+ compass boxes and uniforms provided.
  • 20+ schools supported across Gujarat.
  • 5,000+ girls encouraged to stay in school.

Real Stories, Real Change

One student, Meena (name changed), shared with us:

“Main pehli baar school bag leke gayi thi, toh pura class dekh raha tha. Mujhe laga ki ab main bhi kisi se kam nahi.” (“The first time I went to school with a bag, the whole class looked at me. I felt like I was no less than anyone else.”)

These small victories are the foundation of big changes.

Future Goals (2025–2030)

  • Expand adoption from 1 village to 10 villages in Gujarat.
  • Provide 1,00,000+ books in the next 5 years.
  • Build digital classrooms in rural schools with tablets and e-learning resources.
  • Launch mentorship programs connecting urban volunteers with rural students.
Every notebook we donate writes a story of hope. Every compass box we gift draws a future. At Shivam Charitable Trust, we are not just giving books—we are building the next generation of Bharat.
